The Burleson Oktoberfest is proud to Support
The Cooper Max Foundation
The Cooper Max Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides support to children and families affected by childhood cancer.
We are committed to helping children and their families fight, ready to provide financial assistance, Cooper Care Baskets, or support for the extracurricular activities at hospitals. We also provide financial assistance to families burdened with funeral expenses as a result of childhood cancer.
The Cooper Max Foundation is proud to support other organizations that provide critical funding for research and support. We won’t stop until there is a cure!
What the Foundation Supports
The Cooper Max Foundation was started by Cooper’s parents Eric and Heather, and a dedicated group of friends and family, as a way to help other families in similar situations. According to the American Childhood Cancer Organization, roughly 84% of families with a child with cancer will experience some level of financial hardship, and the Max family was no exception.
Our two main fundraisers are every spring and fall. These events help provide financial assistance to families, fund research projects and extracurricular activities at hospitals, as well as delivering tricycles and Cooper Care Baskets. We deliver 15-20 baskets monthly to newly diagnosed families at the request of Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth.
The Burleson Oktoberfest is proud to support The Cooper Max Foundation by donating a portion of the net proceeds from the festival.
If you would like more information on how you can support this foundation – please come see them at the festival or visit their website.
